Salesforce Summer '22 Release
Last Saturday, Salesforce released its Summer 22’ release. Our Salesforce business consultants have summarized and listed their favorites from the release. Among other things, new features and updates in reports, picklists, and marketing Cloud and Einstein!
1. Picklist (Beta) – Save time and work more efficiently
In the new Summer '22 release, you can delete, enable, disable, or replace multiple custom picklist values at once, instead of one at a time. This will save you a lot of time.
To do this, simply go to "Picklist Settings" and then select "Advanced Picklist Values Management (beta)."

2. Reports – New Filters and Views
There are now many new features for both reports and dashboards! In the Summer '22 release, you can easily limit the number of rows displayed in a report.
You can now view your top 10 best customers or the 15 most recently updated sales projects.

In addition, it is easier to find the right report type by filtering the list based on one or more criteria.

In the new update, you can now calculate, for example, the total duration of cases or the total value of sales projects based on the median of all values.

3. Dynamic Related Lists – Customize related lists for a more dynamic view
Dynamic Related Lists add a new component to Lightning Pages—“Dynamic Related List – Single.” Among other things, Dynamic Related Lists allow you to create custom related lists that can be filtered so they appear only when certain criteria are met. This provides more sorting options and the ability to sort by field.

4. Shareable Campaigns – Share individual campaigns with colleagues
Dynamic Campaign Owners can now manually share individual campaigns with other Salesforce users. This feature was previously available only in the ‘Classic view,’ but is now also available in the ‘Lightning Experience.’

5. Marketing Cloud – Optimize messages with Einstein
Einstein is Salesforce’s AI tool, and new features have been launched in Marketing Cloud. Einstein can now determine the optimal number of messages to send in order to reduce the risk of “ad fatigue” and opt-outs. It will also be possible to tailor communications based on local weather conditions, which can increase the relevance of weather-dependent content—or why not include a weather forecast in the message when relevant? Einstein can now also help optimize and improve subject lines to increase open rates.
6. Marketing Cloud – Enhanced features in Journey Builder
Journey Builder is one of the cornerstones of Marketing Cloud, and now expanded functionality is available to all users who have an app. By connecting the app to Marketing Cloud, you can trigger an event and create journeys in real time based on user behavior within the app.
7. Einstein Activity Capture (EAC) – Better insights and closed deals
EAC is used to improve sales representatives’ productivity and ensure data quality. Email Insights now features a new function, “Objection,” located on the activity timeline. This provides quick, summarized insights that make it easier to close deals.

In addition, in this release, you’ll now be able to link email messages via EAC directly to accounts, contacts, and sales projects.

It is now easier to change which entry the email should be associated with if it isn'tisocwasn't associated correctly from the start. As shown below, you simply click the arrow next to the activity that is to be edited and from there remove the relationship or change the relationship.

8. Einstein Prediction Builder – New guide and access
The Data Checker verifies that you have enough data before you start building recommendations and notifications in Einstein Prediction Builder. Once you start building your recommendations, the Data Checker also provides a status update and a summary of the data.
In the new Summer 22’ release kalso includes an improved guide on how to set up and get started with building processes and recommendation models in prediction Builder. This will make it even easier to get started.

9. Salesforce Flow – Improvements and Simplifications
Workflow Rules Migration – Flow Builder Formula
Salesforce has been planning to phase out Workflow Rules for some time now, and Flow Builder will become the default option. One issue with this has been that users haven’t been able to migrate their old Workflow Rules to Flow Builder when those rules contain a formula in their criteria. This will now be resolved with the new Summer ’22 release! Users will then be able to migrate their old Workflow Rules seamlessly!
So the next logical question to ask is, what happens to the old “formula” rule? It’s being moved over to your new Flow. In Flow Builder, you’ll be able to include a “formula” rule in your start conditions! This gives us much more flexibility, which we love!

Flow Trigger Explorer
Your flows are now displayed in the order they will be executed. You can also click "Edit Order" and rearrange them using a simple drag-and-drop. This works very smoothly and provides a great overview!
