Dreamforce 2022 from a technical perspective
Dreamforce is an annual conference designed to bring the Salesforce community together to share knowledge, but above all to learn and stay up to date on the latest news. Each year, over 180,000 attendees gather, and in addition to networking, Trailblazers can expect a wealth of new Salesforce innovations, as well as countless training sessions and presentations from visionary speakers.
We've sent our Dream Team to travel to San Francisco to participate in Dreamforce, hoping they’ll bring smart, innovative, and forward-thinking insights back to us. Mike Bogunov is Head of Technical Operations at Releye and, with his technical analytical skills, will contribute a wealth of technical insights and perspectives. This is what Mike is looking forward to.
1. What are you most looking forward to at Dreamforce 2022?
I’m looking forward to learning a lot and gaining a deeper insight into the platform’s future. But of course, have a great time at Dreamforce.
2. What do you hope to learn and bring back with you to Sweden?
At Dreamforce, Salesforce typically presents its vision and all the major changes coming in upcoming releases. During these intense days, there are hundreds of different hands-on sessions and demos to attend. It will be interesting and fun to test and learn about the various parts and features of the platform that haven’t been released yet. Another important takeaway to bring home is to be inspired by other partners’ and customers’ journeys with Salesforce and bringing back ideas that can streamline our implementation methodology.
3. What do you hope to contribute?
Salesforce platform is so much more than just a CRM system; I think the most important thing is to evaluate different modules and features to understand how they can be applied to the processes that our customers’ businesses still handle manually.
4. Which sessions will you attend?
It’s very difficult to choose between the different sessions because there are so many. But I plan to focus on the sessions that cover architecture, development, platforms, and automation.
5. Which speaker are you looking forward to hearing, and why?
Of course, I want to hear from Marc Benioff and Bret Taylor, as well as all the amazing developers and architects who will be sharing the most relevant and important insights about Salesforce. This year, several well-known figures will also be speaking more broadly about the critical social and economic challenges our world is currently facing. Among them, I’m looking forward to hearing from Jane Goodall, Lawrence Summers, and Bono.
6. What are you planning to do in San Francisco while you're there?
In addition to the conference itself, there are plenty of sights to see and things I’d love to have time to do. San Francisco is a fantastic city, but I really enjoy strolling along the beaches and waterfronts, as well as enjoying good food in the evenings.
7. Which Salesforce mascot do you like best, and why?
I think Astro is the cutest; he’s also universal and symbolizes the entire Salesforce ecosystem. At the same time, Codey represents my role very wellclose.. Codey is powerful and kind, which symbolizes those of us who work with Salesforce.
