5 Quick Questions About This Year’s Edition of The Sales Conference 2022

We attended this year’s edition of The Sales Conference 2022. Gustaf Thunqvist, our Key Account Manager, was there and shares his insights.

 What is The Sales Conference?  

  • The Sales Conference has been organized by our client, Mercuri International Group, for the past 15 years. In the sales industry, it is probably one of the best conferences you can attend. 

 How was the conference this year?  

  • The event was of a high standard, both in terms of execution and the lineup of speakers. This year, it was a hybrid event with a few hundred participants on-site and several thousand more joining digitally. It gave it a bit of a live broadcast feel.  

 What was this year's theme? 

  • This year’s theme was “Trust,” as we say in Swedish-English, that is, ‘förtroende’ in Swedish. Mercuri released its new report on the topic. The report confirms that 90% of respondents stated that reliability is the most important factor in gaining trust. The most important factor in being perceived as reliable is “consistently delivering on what you’ve promised.”

How is this year’s theme relevant to Releye? 

  • For us at Releye, this is highly relevant. We handle our clients’ most valuable asset—information about their customers. From a security perspective, we must maintain high standards when it comes to security. After all, trust in us also depends on what we deliver in our projects. We’re only as good as our latest delivery, andour customers will only renew their trust in us if they’re satisfied. Reliability is central to us. That’s why we’re called what we’re called.  

Is there anything in particular you're bringing with you?  

  • Now, I’m not really a heavy metal fan, but it was still pretty cool that the lead singer of Iron Maiden talked about the theme. He’s a true multi-talented artist—an entrepreneur, a pilot, and a heavy metal singer. He talked a lot about integrity and how, as a band, they didn’t want to compromise their heavy metal spirit. For example, they received simple offers to put their name on cheap beer. Instead, they went all in to create a premiumbeerthat is more in line with who they are as a rock band.
