Power Platform: What is it and how does it work?

How would you explain the Power Platform?

Microsoft Power Platform is essentially a combination of four powerful business applications: Power Automate, PowerApps, Power BI, and the latest addition, Power Virtual Agents. With these products, companies can build complex business solutions that analyze, visualize, and automate various business processes without writing a single line of code.

Power Automate 

Power Automate enables users to automate workflows within their organization. Since many companies are looking for faster ways to handle manual tasks, Power Automate can help them automate daily activities such as syncing files, collecting data, or receiving notifications.

Power App

With Power AApp users can build business applications for computers, tablets or mobile devices. By dragging–and-drop , it’s easy to add text boxes, filters, fields, and other smart features needed to create modern applications. The apps can be used to retrieve information from multiple data sources such as Outlook, Dropbox, and Dynamics 365. Many have used Power Apps to build apps for onboarding new employees or for service requests, for example.

Power BI

Power BI is a smart and interactive data visualization and analysis tool for business intelligence. The platform is used to collect and organize data from a wide variety of sources. With this data, companies can then create interactive reports and dashboards that provide valuable insights and analyses of their operations.

Power Virtual Agents

Virtual Agents is the latest addition to the Power Platform, enabling the creation of chatbots that businesses can use to answer questions from customers or website visitors. Just like the other products in the Power Platform, these bots can also be created without a developer.
