Salesforce Einstein: Make Salesforce smarter with clicks, not code

Salesforce Einstein (the first comprehensive AI for CRM) can help you harness the power to deliver the results you want more efficiently than ever before. In this blog post, Vaidehi, a passionate Salesforce developer at Releye, shows you how to implement and work with AI on the Salesforce platform.

Salesforce Einstein

Salesforce Einstein is an AI-powered Salesforce product designed for businesses that want to integrate intelligent tools into their workflows. The product is deployed across the Salesforce cloud to analyze the vast amounts of automated data the platform collects. This includes activity data, sales, email, e-commerce, and calendar data, social data streams, and Internet of Things (IoT) data.

In addition to visualizing data, Einstein runs machine learning and predictive analytics algorithms, as well as NLP (natural language processing), and “smart data discovery” to provide data insights. This enables the product to offer recommendations across various business use cases within the platform.

Using past data to predict the future

The Einstein algorithms identify patterns in historical data within Salesforce to apply to new data and make predictions. Historical data in Salesforce can, for example, include opportunities that were either won or lost over the past 12 months, or customer service cases that have been processed in the past 12 months. By combining historical data with new data, we can let the product determine what actions are needed or provide relevant options to users. This could, for example, involve deciding which business opportunities to prioritize or which cases to escalate.

Examples of Salesforce Einstein features in Sales Cloud

  • Predictive Lead Scoring is designed to help sales reps focus on the most promising leads based on industry and engagement data, combined with customer behavior.
  • Opportunity Insights analyzes customer interactions to alert sales reps when it is time to act and provide predictions about which deals are likely to close.
  • Automated contacts help users find new contacts and roles to add to Salesforce by analyzing emails and past activities.

How to get started

Depending on your Sales Cloud licenses, you have different options for enabling Einstein features. The Sales Cloud Einstein Setup Assistant will help you and your partner with the technical configuration, but before you get to that point, start by addressing the following questions:

  1. What is the problem my company is facing?
Only 35% of my invoices are paid on time. How can I get more payments on time?
  2. What kind of prediction would be helpful?
Predict which invoices are likely to be paid late.
  3. How will I use this prediction?
Send tasks to account managers for invoices that are likely to be late
  4. How can we determine if the prediction is accurate?
Percentage increase in customers paying within 30 days, percentage reduction in average days to pay.
